You Are Valuable

Have you ever felt worthless?

Not just insecure, but actually worthless.

I have. I bet you have too at one point or another.

I have struggled to see my value, more than I’d like to admit. God has often reminded me of it, though. When I get into these funks of thinking that I have no value, nothing of purpose left inside me, etc., I can’t help but think about who God says I am. God says I am LOVED (John 3:16). God says I have WORTH (Psalm 139:15). God says I am TRANSFORMABLE (2 Corinthians 3:16-18). God says I am VALUABLE (Matthew 10:31). Did you read that last one? Read it again. Now again. Matthew 10:31 states, “Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.” God has plans for sparrows. God places value on all of His creations, even sparrows. Why would you be of less value than a sparrow? I know it’s hard to see it sometimes- sometimes it’s easier to beat ourselves up and talk negatively about ourselves and how things are going, but you do have value. God has never been one to forget, so He certainly hasn’t forgotten you.

I was on Pinterest yesterday and I was showing Diego this picture I had saved a while ago that I had totally forgotten about, and it made me think a lot. The picture is of a snowflake, and it says, “If God will put this much detail in a snowflake, what makes you think your life is any less important?” Whoa. That really hits you, doesn’t it??

God does everything with purpose. Everything with precision. You aren’t a mistake, you’re a valuable creation straight from God.

Think about this: the enemy is targeting you through your thoughts. He is attacking you, trying to make you feel less than, and he sees you as a threat. The enemy doesn’t attack anyone that he doesn’t see value in. The enemy knows that God’s plan for your life is incredible and filled with blessings and beauty, so he tries to cloud that with self-deprecation and self-doubt. He is doing everything he can to keep you from reaching your full potential in Jesus Christ.

Don’t be discouraged, don’t be afraid, don’t give up.

Remember that when spiritual warfare feels greatest, it means you’re on the edge of something spectacular. Don’t forget that.

Don’t forget your worth.

Don’t forget that God calls you valuable.

xx,

Tay
