Romanticize Your Life

Life is beautiful. It really is. Life can also be ugly. Like, really ugly. That’s part of the detriment of being human. Something I believe in a lot is having a positive mindset and seeing how far it takes you. I mean why not, right? Look at all the beauty all around us! How can you not love and appreciate it??

Life is real, and that can be really hard, I get it, but how can you not look around and constantly be inspired by all the beauty in God’s creation??

I think about this often, the matter of romanticizing your own life, in an effort to appreciate the smaller things, the overlooked blessings. I think it’s great.

So this week I just want to write something small, challenge you to something small: ROMANTICIZE YOUR LIFE.

Enjoy your coffee- rave about it on Instagram stories.

Post the small things that the people you love do to make you happy- and the big things too.

Go for walks.

Read amazing books. (I recommend The Bible)

Look at sunsets, and sunrises, if you’re that type of crazy.

Make some paintings just for fun.

Explore new areas around you.

Take pictures of small moments that make you happy.

Show off that thing that makes you happy.

Watch the movie.

Buy the dress.

Tell that person how you feel.

Appreciate art, whether it’s in a museum or on Twitter.

Love God. Love people.

LOOK AROUND YOU and realize that you’re human, you’re here, and there’s endless beauty and creation around you.

The sky, clouds, animals, trees, sweet babies, the ocean, rivers, the wind, the rain, the sunshine, flowers, stars, the moon and glowing fields are all signs of the beauty in creation, the beauty in God’s creation.

Please recognize that you’re part of that creation and you deserve to recognize your worth and beauty as much as the red rose growing on the bush outside, being kissed by sunshine everyday. You are also kissed by God’s grace the second you wake up every morning and I think it’s about time we all start to realize the value and worth we hold.

Romanticize your life, appreciate your life.

And don’t forget, you’re part of a beautiful one-of-a-kind creation.

XX,

Tay
