10 Things Brides Are Forgetting

Your wedding day is so special and it’s sure to be a day you’ll never forget, so don’t forget the details. In planning this special day, there is SO MUCH to plan, and SO MUCH gets overlooked. This is a small list of the top 10 things a bride is probably forgetting on her wedding day.

  • Toss Bouquet

With all the focus on the main bridal bouquet, bridesmaid bouquets, corsages, boutonnieres, centerpieces, etc., it’s easy to forget about the toss bouquet. A pretty and fun one with no emotional connection to give away during the bouquet toss.

  • Something Blue

Neutral color schemes are all the rave when it comes to weddings, I get it, but brides tend to forget their “something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue”. I made my garters blue, like my Momma did, so that’s a cute and subtle idea!

  • The Marriage License

This is a process that needs to be taken care of a month or two in advance! Be sure to head to your county clerk office and get this taken care of ahead of time. Then be sure to bring it to the wedding for your officiant and witnesses to sign off on!

  • Extra Invites + Detail Items For Photographer

Detail shots are stunning and most brides can’t wait to have some! Pack a little box of special mementos for your photographer to capture while you’re getting ready on the special day. Some things to use are an extra wedding invitation, flowers, garters, rings, heels, perfume, lipstick, etc.

  • Break Time

Take a break with your husband after the ceremony to relax, soak it in, and breathe before the party!

  • Cake Cutting Set

Don’t forget to buy some cute cake cutting knives for the reception! If your family has any special ones they’ve saved that would be super sweet, or you can always check antique stores!

  • Veil, Garter, Belt

The important parts of your look aren’t always just the dress and shoes! The veil, garter and belt, (if you have those), are meant to tie in a look and complete it, but due to their size it’s easy to forget them when packing up your wedding necessities! Don’t forget them!

  • Packing for the Honeymoon

Your honeymoon will happen before you even realize your wedding is over, don’t forget the packing that comes with this! Get your cute honeymoon outfits, pack your lipstick and wedding night necessities
(wink, wink) and enjoy your trip!

  • Wedding Bands

The wedding bands are an essential part of the ceremony. The engagement ring is what you’re used to and it’s easy to keep that on and not forget, but remember to pack the wedding bands and give the bride’s to the best man and the groom’s to the maid of honor.

  • Guest Book + pens

The guest book is another sweet reminder of your day and all it is, and all who was there. Pick one out and set it with your decorations to ensure it makes it to the wedding! And don’t forget the pens- the guests need to sign it with something!

(I used a Bible as my guest book and had guests highlight a verse and sign their name!

I hope this little list helps y’all in any way!

XOXO,

Tay
